Adhesives are components that initiate the adhesion of two compounds. Earlier plant resins were used as common adhesives but now there are synthetic products which have more adhesion power than the natural ones. Besides the major function in any particular industry to bond substrates in order to structure the final product, adhesives are used for many functions in daily life. These are found every simple compound around us. It serves its purpose in each small product around us. It includes sealing the pipes or other items that require sealing.
What Is Adhesive?
Adhesive, any substance that is capable of holding materials together in a functional manner by surface attachment that resists separation. “Adhesive” as a general term includes cement, mucilage, glue, and paste—terms that are often usedinterchangeably for any organic material that forms an adhesive bond.
Elastomer, any rubbery material composed of long chainlike molecules, or polymers, that are capable of recovering their original shape after being stretched to great extents—hence the name elastomer, from “elastic polymer.” Under normal conditions, the long molecules making up an elastomeric material are irregularly coiled. With the application of force, however, the molecules straighten out in the direction in which they are being pulled. Upon release, the molecules spontaneously return to their normal compact, random arrangement

Shore A HardnessShore A Hardness is an indication of the “efficiency” of the plasticizer. This test measures the materials ability to resist indentation under specific conditions of force and time. The obtained values lie between 0 and 100. The higher the number, the greater the resistance. If the value is 0, the indenter completely penetrates the sample. If the result is 100, no penetration occurs.
Unsaturated polyester resins are mainly used in the production of fiber reinforced plastics and filled plastic products, including sanitary-ware, tanks, pipes, gratings, and high performance components for the marine and transportation industry such as closure and body panels, fenders, boat

Plasticizers are relatively non-volatile organic substances (mainly liquids). When incorporated into a plastic or elastomer, they help improve the polymer's:
